This is the first in a series of posts profiling some of our favourite activity providers and play spaces in and around Barcelona.

Casita Club is a brand new activity center or “ludoteca,” which opened its doors in the summer of 2020. It’s located on a quiet street in the heart of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Barcelona.

Casita Club’s tagline is “Play, learn and celebrate in English,” and it describes exactly what happens inside!

The initial idea was to set up a space where parents and babies (0-2) could relax, play and socialise, outside of home. It gradually became a place where toddlers and young kids (3-7) could go after school to learn, play and participate in fun group activities. Today, they also organise birthday parties and theme-based workshops over the weekend!

The space is warm and cosy, the atmosphere conducive to creative play and exploration. From the moment they step through the door, kids usually run straight to the wooden playhouse or to Casita Club’s montessori-style climbing frame. The space also has a kids’ climbing wall and minimarket at the back, as well as baby play mats, musical instruments and many other fun toys for the littlest visitors.

The founder and owner, Erika, is a serial entrepreneur and mama of three girls. She is originally from the US, but has been living in Europe for more than six years and speaks several languages. With a background in marketing and education, Erika is the one who creates, organises and leads all the kids activities!
