Clàudia Muñoz Brosa is originally from Barcelona. She studied English Literature and Classics in Barcelona and later Edinburgh, where she also taught in an after school programme and developed a lovely Scottish accent.

Following her year abroad, she became CELTA-qualified (Cambridge’s English teaching qualification) and took off to Shanghai where she worked as a teacher at élan – an English language arts training school, where English is taught through engaging with literature and writing practice.

When she returned to Barcelona, she worked for a few years in local English schools before deciding to take the leap and set up her own programme.

First Page English School opened its doors in Eixample in September 2019: it has 3 classrooms and a library.

The school’s unique methodology was developed by Claudia herself. It’s based on a Chinese and South Korean reading-based method to which she added game components and drama. She teaches traditional grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension through her workbooks, but based on stories.

First Page English School’s slogan follows Dr. Seuss’s magical quote:

“The more that you read,

the more that you know,

the more that you learn,

the more places you’ll go!”

“We strive to create an atmosphere in which our students grow to love books as much as we do.” – Clàudia Muñoz Brosa
